Storeroom Clerk

Cleveland Utilities Authority, a municipal utility providing electric, water, wastewater and fiber services to the Cleveland, Tennessee/Bradley County area is seeking a Storeroom Clerk to assist the storeroom supervisor in maintaining all aspects of the storeroom including the adequate ordering of supplies and the proper storage and shelving of all products used for Cleveland Utilities Authority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Answer the telephone in the storeroom.
• Assist supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the storeroom.
• Be capable of handling the flow of all paperwork in the absence of a supervisor.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor.
• Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to crews based on information from incoming work orders/service orders.
• Maintain storerooms and surrounding area i.e., scrap material, litter and clutter.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment.
• Purchase new or additional stock or prepare documents that provide for such purchases.
• Receive and process employee orders from Cleveland Utilities departments.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tools rooms, supply rooms, and other areas.
• Ability to operator a forklift safely.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
