Installation/MDU Supervisor

Cleveland Utilities Authority, a municipal utility providing electric, water, wastewater and fiber services to the Cleveland, Tennessee/Bradley County area, is seeking Installation/MDU Supervisor. This role will be responsible for conducting site walks for Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs) and commercial properties. This person will collaborate closely with the Fiber Design team to document as-built record changes. Additionally, the individual will assign work to installation teams, coordinate materials for crews and provide training to CUA MDU and Commercial Installers to ensure high-quality installations and adherence to company standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Conduct site walks for Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU) and commercial properties
• Collaborate with the Fiber Design team to document as-built record changes
• Assign work to installation teams
• Provie adequate training for CUA MDU and Commercial Installers to ensure high-quality installations and     adherence to company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used and test results.
• Ensure compliance with CUA safety standards, local codes and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Problem solving skills and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision/management.

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Five years of hands-on experience with:
    o MDU and Commercial Installation of fiber broadband services.
    o Working in the outside plant environment (aerial, underground, handholes).
    o Reading and understanding construction prints and fiber schematics.
    o Basic troubleshooting in FTTH or fiber-based access networks.
• Two years of hands-on experience with:
    o Conducting installation training for fiber installers.
    o Management of installation crews.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
