We’re BACK! Join us on Monday, October 26, at 11 a.m. as we resume our Women’s Council programming in a virtual format sponsored by Tennova Healthcare—Cleveland. Terran Anderson, Community Impact Director with the American Heart Association will be our special guest as she shares the importance of the Go Red for Women movement and why women need to be an advocate for their own health. Heart disease is the #1 killer of American women and the COVID-19 pandemic has made the statistics worse.
This program is presented in honor and memory of our friend, women’s council steering committee member and immediate Past Chamber Chairman Kim Casteel, who recently passed away.
Ms. Anderson grew up in Augusta, Georgia and moved to the Tennessee Valley to attend Lee University. In the past 7 years, Terran has led several of the AHA’s campaigns including Go Red for Women in Chattanooga and Cleveland, Dalton Heart Ball and the Tennessee Valley Heart Walk. Currently, she serves as Community Impact Director working to impact the health of our community in tangible ways that improve heart and brain health.
She is a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga, a member of the Leadership Chattanooga Your Vote Matters committee, member of Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute, a graduate of CWLI’s Women Mentoring Women program, Hamilton County Health Disparities Task Force member, City Church volunteer and a mentor. This year she looks forward to serving on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Community Advisory Committee and Hamilton County Schools Health Committee. She is married to Matt and has two children, Lillian (9) and Jack (8).
