Do you want more work life balance, but are struggling where to start? How well are my listening skills?
The Chamber welcomes Wade Rowan on Wednesday, October, 2 to present on Work Life Balance and Blend and Active Listening.
Work Life Balance and Blend:
Work Life Balance traditionally refers to the division between work responsibilities and personal life. The goal is to create a clear separation where work does not interfere with personal time and vice versa.
Balance implies an equal distribution of time and energy between work and personal activities, often visualized as a scale that needs to be evenly weighted.
Work-Life Blend focuses on integrating work and personal life harmoniously, allowing for more fluid transitions between the two. The idea is to blend both aspects in a way that they support and enrich each other.
Blend emphasizes flexibility and adaptability, recognizing that work and personal activities can coexist and intermingle throughout the day.
Active Listening:
1st Rule of Communication: Know Your Audience
At our core we all want to be heard, known, and understood!
Only 2% of professionals have ever been trained on how to prove they are “Actively Listening”.
Listening IS FOR FAR MORE than just a response… but instead is the key that opens the door to all effective communication.
“Our Value as a professional is measured more by the amount of information we gather, than the amount of information we dispense.” The Sandler Rules
