Which high school will have the most participation in our first annual "Fiercely Competitive, Yet United for Childhood Cancer" Blood Drive? Many people do not realize there are currently several kids right here in Cleveland battling pediatric cancer who need many blood and platelet transfusions during their treatment at Children's at Erlanger. As part of this special blood drive competition, Blood Assurance will give everyone who donates a custom t-shirt that has all three schools' logos on it displaying unity.
Blood Assurance will be set up for staff and students at Cleveland High School on Tues, Sep 3; at Walker Valley High School on Wed, Sep 4, and at Bradley Central High School on Thurs, Sep 5. Alumni and everyone else in the community is urged to donate for your favorite of these three schools at the Cleveland Blood Assurance Center located at 201 Keith St SW on either Mon, Sep 2 or Fri, Sep 5. There will be a special sign-in sheet for you to indicate which school you are representing.
High school students must be 16 years old and weigh at least 100 lbs to donate. Students age 16 will need to bring a parental consent form. Students age 17+ do not need a consent form. The school with the highest percentage of participation will be awarded a trophy and plaque.
