Tim Tatum will provide a Suicide Prevention Training - Question\, Persuade\, Refer (QPR). \n\n\n\nEach year in Tennessee\, an estimated 850 people die by suicide - more than the number killed by homicide and drunk driving combined. Suicide IS preventable. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich maneuver save thousands of lives\, you can learn how to save lives of those thinking about suicide. QPR empowers all people\, regardless of their background\, to make a positive difference in the life of a coworker\, friend or family. This one hour evidence-based training teaches individuals to recognize the warning signs of suicide\, offer hope to people in crisis\, and get help to save a life. \n\n\nTim Tatum is a Licensed Professional Counselor and recently obtained his Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Management. He has worked in the local mental health arena since 1995. He has diverse experience in the group home\, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings\, and community-based settings. As a clinician\, Tim ascribes to a holistic and collaborative approach to helping people overcome challenges.
