DESCRIPTION:Community Pitch Competition Sponsored by Lynn Jones Foundation Amount of Award: $5\,000 Number of Pitch Finalists: 6-8 Venue: George R. Johnson Cultural Heritage Center on Cleveland State Community College Main Campus Date: March 30\, 2023 - 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Each Chamber of Commerce located in all five counties of Cleveland State Community College Service Area is being asked to participate in the Pitch Competition. Finalist Selection Criteria: Must be in business for at least 6 months but no longer than two years from the date of the event. Must be locally owned\, properly licensed\, and operated as a for profit enterprise. Prize money is intended for business expenses only\, preferably for expansion/growth. Must submit up-to-date Income Statements and Balance Sheets from time of opening to just prior to the Pitch. The Pitch will be conducted as follows: Finalists will be given 5 minutes for their pitch and 10 minutes for the judges to ask questions. Finalists may use notes\, products\, props and PowerPoint slides during their pitch. Judges will be selected from business and civic leaders within the five county service area of Cleveland State Community College who have not participated in the selection process. The event will be heavily promoted. Press representatives will be invited and the event will be videoed for release to all participating organizations.
