Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce Board Selects Mike Griffin as new President & CEO
The Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mike Griffin has been selected to serve as the new President and CEO of the Chamber. Mr. Griffin will assume his new position on June 3, 2019. “We are delighted to have such a qualified, capable, and service-minded person step in to lead our organization to new heights,” resounded Kimberly Casteel, USA Mortgage and Chairman of the Chamber Board. “We look forward to Mike’s leadership, and the achievements and successes that our community will enjoy as a result.”
Griffin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and advanced professional certifications in Commercial Lending and Banking from Vanderbilt University. He worked for First Tennessee Bank for over 32 years where he served as Community President for the Cleveland area since 2012. While at First Tennessee Bank he was responsible for managing the Cleveland community market to grow and retain business and commercial relationships. Casteel added, “We are confident that the growth and success Mike saw in banking will be reflected during his tenure at our organization.”
Most recently Griffin served as the co-chairman of the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce Momentum: ‘22 community investment campaign. Prior to this he actively served on the Chamber’s Board of Directors as the Chair-Elect and Public Affairs Vice-Chair for 2017 and 2018. Besides his Chamber volunteer servant leadership, Griffin is currently the Board Chairman for the United Way of the Ocoee Region; Vice-Chairman of the Board for Cleveland State Community College; Vice-President for the Rotary Club of Cleveland; the City of Cleveland’s Health and Education Board; and Chairman for Erlanger Health System.
Additionally, Past Board Chair positions for Junior Achievement of the Ocoee Region; the Museum Center at 5ive Points; and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumni. Griffin is also a graduate of Leadership Cleveland and Leadership Chattanooga. He served on the Alumni Board for Leadership Chattanooga on various committees and Chairman in 2010. Amongst Griffin’s many honors of distinction and awards for dedicated service, he was recipient of the 2010 Servant Leadership Award by the Tennessee Association of Community Leaders.

Griffin and his wife, Kim, are members of Broad Street United Methodist Church and have lived in Cleveland for seven years. The Griffin’s share a great love for the community in which they call their true home.
