“The Body Language Doctor” LCAA scholarship luncheon featured keynote

Did you know…80% of the information we receive from a person in conversation is transmitted non-verbally? What is your body language saying about you? Dr. Donna Van Natten, founder and CEO of Accountability Measures to be the featured keynote for this year’s Leadership Cleveland Alumni Association Scholarship Luncheon speaking on the topic “Body Language for Leaders”.  The luncheon will take place Thursday, May 31, at noon at the Cleveland Country Club and will serve as the graduation ceremony for the current class of Leadership Cleveland participants.
“Each year, if funding is available, the scholarship committee of the Leadership Cleveland Alumni Association awards a scholarship for the program to a nonprofit executive in Cleveland and Bradley County,” Bernadette Douglas, Chamber Executive VP and coordinator of the Leadership Cleveland program, explained. “Funds raised at this luncheon support that scholarship.”
Dr. Donna Van Natten has changed the way companies develop their people, driven by her research in the science behind non-verbal communication, facial expressions, gestures, and behavioral intentions. Her research conjoins the cutting-edge sciences of brain chemistry, human behaviors, and nutritional psychology to figure out how individuals perform at work and build solid relationships.

Coupled with her dynamic personality and animated delivery, she is a national spokesperson and expert in interpreting numerous components of non-verbal communication. Her clients include executive suite coaching, motivational team building at large corporations, and national key-note speaking forums.

Dr. Van Natten holds multiple degrees and certifications - culminating with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Dr. Van Natten was awarded a Japan Fulbright Scholarship, is published in the Journal of Leadership Education, and her first book, Image Scrimmage, targets the power of body language and leadership. She is “The Body Language Dr.”™

Dr. Van Natten has been featured multiple times in Inc Magazine for her expertise in nonverbal communication and leadership. Recently, she was highlighted in the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and Business Management Daily for her expertise on eyes, smiles, and tone of voice in leadership.
