Proper disposal of many household toxics that are dangerous to the environment. All products must be properly packaged and placed in a cardboard box or plastic container....NO EXCEPTIONS. Accepted...automotive and marine products, home maintenance/improvement products, home lawn and garden products, pool chemicals, photo processing chemicals, mercury thermostats and thermometers, aerosols/compressed gas, medicines/drugs, fluorescent tubes and electronics. Used oils, anti-freeze, and lead-acid batteries can be recycled free of charge at the Bradley County Landfill year round. Document Shredding....two (2) bags of paper documents per household. Unacceptable Items....Empty paint cans, solidified paint are NOT hazardous and can be disposed with household garbage. Medical/Biological, Explosives/Ammunition, Radioactives, Business/Institutional Waste, empty cans of any kind, automotive gas tanks, laboratory chemicals and cooking oil.
